Groundhog Meme

Sandee of Comedy Plus tagged me for this meme. Thanks, Sandee:

5 reasons I love/hate the Groundhog. After listing 5 reasons (no rules in listing reasons), tag 5 people plus giving credit to the tagger.

Let's see:

FIVE REASONS I HATE THE GROUNDHOG

1. What do groundhogs know about the seasons anyway?

2. Since the groundhog lives in a burrow, he's probably blind so how can he SEE his shadow?

3. He just gets everybody hopes up that Winter is over and then destroys those hopes with glee!

4. I am reminded of Bill Murray (whom I can't stand) who starred in the stupidest movie I ever saw Groundhog Day.

5. Did you ever see a WOMAN standing around in a black top hat looking to a dumb (that is, non-talking) rodent to tell HER whether Spring is coming or not?

I now tag 5 people:

Jeff B. @ A Word in Edgewise
Becca @ BeccA's Buzz
Tammy @ Mom Knows Everything
Colin @ Life
Jos @ NoDirectOn (not: NoDirection)

Band meme

See my Weekend Snapshot post at my other blog: Answers to the Questions

Sandee at Comedy Plus tagged me with this "Band" meme. She was tagged by Mimi at Mimi Writes.

Here are the directions:

You are about to have your own band's CD cover. Follow these directions to the letter. My tagee list is at the bottom of this post. It's fun and requires no thought at all. Go to...

1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first article title on the page is the name of your band.

2. http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four words of the very last quote is the title of your album.

3. http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/
The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4. Use your graphics program of choice to throw them together, and post the picture on your blog. Put your blog address in a comment in this post. If you go to Sandee's blog, Comedy Plus you can actually post the image in a comment on her comment page. It would be fun to have all the images in one place.

My Results:

I've really enjoyed doing this meme...

I was born in May in the Common Era 1236.

Nobody would tell you I'm stubborn and hard-hearted, I'm pretty sure.

But I might be strong-willed and highly motivated because there were nuns in my early upbringing.

Sharp thoughts so far, but I am getting older and don't know how much longer I can count on them.

Yes, easily angered when I've forgotten to take my anti-depressants, but thank goodness easily consoled according to my loved one.

Not even close to systematic, left-handed not left-brained.

Can't get enough literature, classic and contemporary, but every once in a while must read some trashy police procedural with a leading character called Hieronymus Bosch.

But truly there is in me a restlessness, a beautiful mind with the attendant gifts for clairvoyance, imagination, and mental aberration.

Hardworking and filled with high spirits,

God knows why.
