Kelli of There Is No Place Like Home hosts Show and Tell Friday. Today I want to show you my new sofa.

A month or so ago I asked the people who contribute to this meme to help me decide if I should buy a new sofa or get my old one reupholstered. They agreed that I should buy a new one.

Well here it is:

Here's my old sofa which now sits outside my house waiting for the sanitation guys to pick it up.

In the next couple of weeks Lazy Boy should call and tell me they are delivering my (or rather my husband's) new recliner. Can't wait!

Kelli of There Is No Place Like Home hosts this wonderful meme. I thought you might like to see the front door of my refrigerator.

Here you will find refrigerator magnets I've bought from places like Australia (the koala bear in the upper right-hand corner), the Dominican Republic (the bag of coffee beans next to the koala) and the turtle in the center from the Caribbean. Others have been given to me - Virginia Woolf is there on the right with her hands spread out.

The four photos are pictures of my 3 nephews and my niece. If you want to know what anything is, feel free to ask me.

I change my wallpaper often. Usually I use a picture of a Caribbean beach because that's what I dream about in the Winter.

Sunday, January 13, 2007: I've written an UPDATE in the comments.

HELP! HELP! HELP!

Take a close look at the photos above. My couch and my husband's (Vinny's) chair and ottoman. Both sit in my living room. As you can tell they are in real terrible condition (no kidding!) I've let them go for much too long. They need to be re-upholstered or replaced (No kidding, again!).

The couch is probably 12 years old and the chair is 41 years old. What? I've had the chair re-upholstered twice. It was part of a set that I have since thrown out. The couch wasn't expensive - I got it at IKEA.

Vinny and I watch TV sitting on this furniture. I sit in the far corner of the couch with my feet stretched out on the rest of the couch and Vinny sits with his feet on the ottoman. Both pieces are pretty comfortable.
