I have also wondered why the company that makes Q-Tips says not to put them in your ears. Maxine brings it up again so I went on to the web to see if there was any further information. Do you believe that the phrase "q-tips bad for ears" came up immediately as a suggested search phrase? Ha!
You can go here if you want to read more about yucky things like ear wax and such.

Oh yeah I with Maxine..I use them for other places on the body, Eye lid to put on makeup, for medicine applying, belly buttons (but I suspect we will be told not to). They have a good thing going. I still use them for the ears, haha
Cute, but I'll pass on the ear wax info:) My post is up.
I thought that is what they were created for.
Mary - Who cares about q-tips - ask Maxine where my cupcake went! (Your new Header is colorful, but that cupcake was YUMMY!)
dear teach mary...just popping by to see how you are doing fine...you keep putting out posts! those coloured bottles and those quotes are just pricless. i have heard the first one but never saw the second ...just great!..love terry
Suffering from a snoring husband I always used Q-taps (Quies in French) and I still use them when I travel. They are much better than the plastic once.
LOL I think you can use them to clean your ears...you're just not supposed to stick them waaaay deep inside :) I also use them to clean tight spots (like on my keyboard) and little places (like my granddaughters belly button) :D Happy Saturday Mary ♥
Mine's a different Maxine, but a heartfelt one!
Q-Tips are sure confusing. As are doctors...
