Hey Everybody! Guess what today is? Yup! It's Ruby Tuesday! I thought I would show you a slideshow of OUR HOUSE which is a RED and white original Tudor built back in the 1930s. We've owned this house a long time and have kept it in its original form.
Because we've done that, we were awarded a few years ago the Queensmark by the Queens Historical Society. You can see the award mounted on the stone next to the front door. Inside we've kept the original stained wood mouldings and have not painted them. In 2001 we did add another room onto the back of the house above the garage but again we tried to stay with the original design. We now have 4 bedrooms.
Now enjoy the slideshow!
And if any of you have beautiful Autumn trees that are changing color to RED, yellow and orange, post them this week and/or next week if you like for "Ruby Tuesday in the Fall."
Here's a photo of a tree in my area:
All the rest are still pretty green.

Fun slideshow. You really do have a beautiful house. Enjoy.
I'm always a few weeks behind from what you request; a few weeks ago you suggested a bit of red, and I've got smaller amounts of red in my posts today. It so happens I did post something about fall.
I like your colorful tree.
Dear teach Mary,
What a dream home you've got. I think it's only fair and square since you so love and take care of it.
Too many are just busy "modernizing,"
destroying valuable heritage.
Happy Ruby Tuesday
From Felisol
Great slideshow! I always figured your house would be blue ;)
Love the tree! Love this time of year!
Love the slide show. What wonderful character your home has. Great photos. Have wonderful Ruby Tuesday.
What a very cool historical home you have. I love the stone and the red trim! The side door is my favorite door!
Nice looking house! And perfect for celebrating Ruby Tuesday. ;-)
The Queensmark is beautiful. The Tudor style with the red trim is quite elegant. Many years ago, in Bayside, there were a number of apartments on our block of 42nd Ave with the same styling features, Classic styling indeed...
it's wonderful to live in a house with a history and great that you respect the original form and elements. Interesting post on the regions of the most brightly colouring autumn foliage ! Thanks again for RT !
It is just beautiful. when can i move in?
Your photographs are wonderful and the fall foliage is pleasant when almost everything I see is evergreen
OH YES!!!
I love that house!!!
I got my red up , too!
Junie
Love the maple tree. That's my favorite kind to see in the fall.
This week, I look at ... well...
Some times there's only one thing left to say.

We have seasonal changes of other kinds here in Hawaii, but we don't get to see these beautiful autumn leaves.
Happy RT.
Your home looks absolutely fantastic... it's so beautiful and I would love to live in something that looked so nice as that... the slideshow is good to see.
That tree is pretty.. I love Autumn.. my favorite time of the year. We have most of our trees all brightly colored now... it's beautiful and snow is dangerously close as you will see in the photos I posted today...
I hope you have a wonderful week...

What a great slideshow... We don't have autumn here, so next week, I am just going to continue with the red images. =)
What a gorgeous home you have. Great idea!!!
You have a beautiful house, Mary ~ It looks so welcoming. I love that you have preserved the history.
I just posted my Ruby Tuesday photo. Like Leora said, it's just a bit of red...guess I'm behind the times as well.
;-)
Lovely maple tree as well.
Your house looks lovely, and so do the gardens! Great job!
Nice Slide show Mary. Adorable, warm home. Love the photo of the door. I felt like I was walking right into your house.
Very cool house. I would love to live that close to Manhattan.
You need some nice red and white flowers in the front
Your house is gorgeous!
Wow, lots of beautiful red on your house. I finally managed to capture some red foliage on my cell phone blog!
I love trees in fall splendor. I dont' like them so much when they get all nekkid though.
Love your home. They just don't build homes with that kind of character anymore.
Thanks for sharing!
Mary, you are clever. Clever that is, to make that nice slide show of your home. It is very pretty.
Did you put the red paint on for Ruby Red?
I'm doing cars and trucks again, I like them. Real and toys are my fancy.

Kewl slide show and colorful Fall leaves on this tree. Your home is lovely and the rest of YOUR trees WILL change colors ... eventually ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
I love both the tree and your home slideshow. What year was your house built? I like that color red, it looks very cranberry. Pretty.
Red's my favorite colour, so i love your house! I'm looking forward to taking part in Ruby tuesday.
I guess the rest of the trees are not ready for fall yet :P
Happy Ruby Tuesday Mary :)
pretty colors,we do not change for several weeks yet here in TX
Hola, mah peeps! Yes, it's yet another °o° Disney-themed Ruby Tuesday over at my place. None of you are really shocked, are you? LOL!
And now, to go visiting - and Mary, I love your house! When I was growing up in Queens, we used to pass those Tudor-style homes on the way to my grandparents house (they were in Maspeth) and I always wanted to live in one! :D

Lovely red house, Mary. I love Tudor architecture.
I'm thoroughly enjoying all of the autumn photos around the blogosphere.
I love your house! It looks like something from a fairy tale. The red touches really make the place special. Gorgeous.
I did do a fall post for you this week. Though we won't have peak color for some time, we do have a bit of red around.
You have a beautiful house. How wonderful too, that you are recognized as a historical house? Way cool!
I posted one up today...it's not a traditional ruby red post I don't think but the red I posted made me very happy. :) I'll go out to take prettier pictures for the weeks coming up.
I love Tudor-style houses.
My grandmother's house in Dayton was a Tudor, and it's still the house of my dreams.
My Ruby Tuesday is a testicularly-spectacular coffee mug.
Mary your house is absolutely beautiful!
That tree below is gorgeous!

Great slide show!
You have a beautiful historical house and it even has a Queensmark.
I did enjoy the slideshow and I love your house. Congrats that you have kept it instead of modernizing it. Happy Tuesday!
Very nicely photgraphed and very well maintained abode! These older homes have a lot of charm. Interesting brick and stone work.
That house is a real treasure ! And beautiful too.
Greetings from Finland, which is going fast to a winter now.
What a beautiful home. Growing up I always dreamed of living in a Tudor home, but then I moved to Israel where they're not exactly in great supply.
Cool slideshow. I love your house stone and red. It shows how much you love red. I'd love to live here instead of a Mumbai apartment.

Beautiful slideshow, and lovely tree! Most of the trees in the Ozarks are still green as well, but some beautiful colors are peeking out here and there. I love Fall.

Your home is beautiful! I love the walk and the landscaping leading up to the front. The garage is great and the side door is amazing!!
Kudos to you for keeping it in its original glory. It is an impressive thing to do.
I came back this morning to see if I could get my computer to show the slide show... it did. You have a very lovely home.
Oh, you have such a beautiful house!! Great slide show and those autumn leaves are fabulous. On my side of the world, spring is well under way, so no colourful leaves to share!
Your Ruby Tuesday post showing the slide show of your home is great. Now I'm off to try my hand at my first RT post.

Ooh I like the fisrt pic in your blog title. The colors are great. Very nice house :)
Echoing everyone else...what a beautiful home! Tudor is one of my favorite styles. The lines are so clean, especially when the curb appeal is done just right.
Congratulations!
Come and meet my lovely niece!
That tree is lovely. It is still too early here for ours to start turning, but a few more mornings like this one and they will. It got down to upper 40s last night!
It's a lovely home!
