Ruby Tuesday

These stained glass windows are from Zum Stammtisch, a German cuisine restaurant in Glendale NY.

Stammtisch means "Family table." We had an excellent meal (I had the same thing I ate last time I was here. Veal Cordon Bleu.) They didn't have Potato Pancakes because they don't make them on the weekends. What's that all about?

Hope you'll join us for Ruby Tuesday and post some RED, a lot or a little, in your own photos.

Mr. Linky is below. Please leave a comment and visit your Ruby Tuesday friends.

Love the brilliant red in these pics - not so easy to obtain such a true vermillion red!

Happy Ruby Tuesday to everyone!

Had a computer malfunction just as I was completing the RT post's final pics (am now "borrowing" another) - rest assured will be up just as soon as my own computer's fixed.

Beautiful stained glass and windows!
All this talk of food makes me think I might grab a snack before visiting all these Ruby posts. :)

Red is said to be the colour that stimulates the appetite! So it added to the enjoyment of your palate!

I'm glad you had the opportunity to photograph some great windows AND get a good meal!

I would have been terribly disappointed over the lack of potato pancakes. There are no German restaurants close to us but we ate at one in San Francisco that was excellent!

I'm playing today, Mary. All the girls in the photo are expecting! ;-)

Beautiful stained glasses at the Family Table. If the rest of the restaurant keeps the same standard, it sure must be worth a visit.

Mary, your windows are fantastic. You may remember that stained glass windows have a special place in the lives of the Old Salt and me.

They would be perfect in our town which was founded by German settlers and where over half of the population two hundred years later is still of german extraction.

Mary, now that's a brilliant red. Who knew that stained glass predated computer monitors for the most brilliant reds ever!

That's strange to see the German gothic writing in New York, lol ! A "Stammtisch" is a table in a Pub, which is reserved for men groups of all kind, from card players to local politicians. There is a sign standing on the table with the name of the group and nobody else is alowed to sit there.
It's well illustrated on the pictures.
