The Visitation of the Magi!
Epiphany (from Koine Greek ἐπιφάνεια "appearance", "manifestation") is a Christian feast dayGod made Man in the person of Jesus Christ. It falls on the 6th of January or on a Sunday close to that date. The 6th of January in the Julian Calendar, which is followed by some Eastern Churches, corresponds at present to 19th of January in the Gregorian Calendar, which is the official civil calendar in most countries. On this day, Western Christians commemorate principally the visitation of the Biblical Magi to the Baby Jesus, i.e., his manifestation to the Gentiles; Eastern Christians commemorate the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River, seen as his manifestation to the world as the Son of God. It is also called Theophany, especially by Eastern Christians.

Great post, Mary! Very informative. We celebrate Epiphany at our house as well. From December 26 to January 5, the Wise Men in our nativity set travel around the house, looking for the Baby Jesus. On the morning of Jan. 6, they arrive at the creche. They've left gifts for us in our shoes, and it's our last "Day of Christmas." All the decorations come down.
