Everglades is definitely a treasure. Will it withstand the rampant "development" is a big question.

Hope to see the Everglades one day.
I've been reading the Miami Herald each night online, and Alligator Alley through the 'Glades has been closed every night the past week due to wild fires.
Will check out this new meme.
Cheers!

It's great to read an uplifting post like this about the environment. It can't all be doom and gloom or we will become discouraged. Great post, Mary. Thanks for joining in this week!

What a beautiful bird. We can accomplish great things once we set our minds to it. Surely we can set our minds to preserving such an important natural place.
