I wanted to buy a wreath (two of which you see above) for my door to welcome Spring. But as you can see they are pretty expensive. So I decided to make my own.
I bought some things from Michael's the craft store and this afternoon I'll make my door decoration for you to see next Monday.
Go on over to MellowYellow Monday to see all the other participants.

70 bucks for a wreath? Is that as completely outrageous as it sounds? (Wreaths aren't exactly big business in Israel.)
I really like the one with the lemons!
Happy Monday,

I'll look forward to seeing your creation!
That is crazy money when you can do it yourself...
Making your own is so much more fun. I worked in an everlasting garden last summer and in the fall we harvested lots of great wreath making grasses and flowers. It was great fun making our own wreaths. Your blog is a beautiful mellow yellow. Thanks for sharing.
Hello teach Mary,
never heard of a spring wreath before.
These ones looks so fresh and inviting.
Think I'll make one myself to hang on my front door.
Must be one with catkins; they are so chubby and well sprung around here just now.
Thanks for a good idea.

I am SO happy you said you are going to make your own. I would have had to yell at you if you bought those! I'm 100% sure you can make a better one for less $$ too!
Will you post your finished product?
$70 for a wreath?!?!?! Those better be imported lemons!
Wow, yes, those are expensive, and I bet the one you are making/have made will be much more interesting and pretty. I will need to come back next Monday and see the result!
These are pretty Mary but I'm sure we are going to LOVE yours!
Great choice for Mellow Yellow.
What BEAUTIFUL yellow wreaths!!!
Hugs and blessings,
Wow they're really pretty but um, even the $40 is too much for me. I'd make my own too :) Can't wait to see yours Mary!
Looking forward to seeing yours :)
I played too :)
Sorry to post twice but when I realized I'd forgotten the theme, I couldn't stop myself. Hope it's okay!
Happy St. Patrick's Day, though I'm sure the celebrating came over the weekend!
