Ruby Tuesday

Photobucket

Photobucket

Signs weren't hard to find, were they? I found a lot of signs with RED in them. RED is probably a really good color to attract the attention of potential buyers.

Shall we do signs again next week or shall we just post RED things?

Or how would you like to post MACRO shots with RED in them? I like that idea. But I'll leave it up to you...

Don't forget to visit our other Ruby Tuesday participants. And please sign Mr. Linky.

YAY!! I'm #2 today!

I love the last shot Mary. How appropriate is the name of that repair shop?

Karen Coutu said...

I forgot to say that I would be all over macros. I could do that every week!

Sorry Mary but my post has no signs.

Fun signs! Your restaurant sign is making me hungry. I can imagine the food in my head.

Love Red's Auto Repair!!
Whatever you decide is fine for me.
Happy Ruby to you and I hope you have a great week!

"Pinocchio Korean..? wha???" What a classic!

When you suggested "Signs" last week, I immediately thought of several that I'd already used in past posts. But since I make it a policy not to use the same shot twice except in very rare cases I was stumped for a few minutes until I remembered this one. It was originally scheduled for an April publication, but when I saw the "theme" I had to switch them around.

Enjoy!

Signs work for me!

Was it a sign topic. I'm a very bad pupil. Haven't seen it.
I love your signs choice, specially the asiatic one. You're right, they're an inehaustible source of inspiration.

Hello teach Mary,
I like your signs "Red's Auto Repair "made me laugh.
Signs were a challenge since I didn't go out today.
Guess that's half the fun, dealing with your challenges.
Now I'm going back in bed.
Have a Happy Ruby Tuesday all of you.

Clever signs, Mary! Between a cold and too much snow -- again! I haven't been able to go look for signs so I did a ruby red tribute to the troops. Hope your New Year is off to a great start!

Wow, the new badge is fan-tas-tic !! I saw it too late for this week, but now it is saved and ready to use. I missed last week, didn't know about signs, and guess what : my post has a red sign and that makes me little-kid-happy :-) Best wishes for a wonderful 2009 !

Jan said...

Great choices this week, Mary. I stuck with my Roses Theme, this week. There are a gazillion red signs here, too many, not enough creativity. Oh, we need a sign, make it red!

Jientje said...

Ooopsss!! Was I supposed to do signs this week? I should remember to check in before I make a post, I had no idea!! Yours are great though!
I would love to do red macro's next week, if I don't forget!!

Like that phone display shot... cool!

Carletta said...

When I saw Reds Auto Repair I was taken back to my teen years when because of my red hair some friends used to call me Red. :)
You found some great choices.

I was away last week and didn't see the sign suggestion until I came to sign in. I grabbed the bag but had to use what I already planned.
I'll vote for red macros if we're voting. ;)

Great shots Mary! I like the macro idea, too.

Yes, red does seem to be prevalent in signs. I have 2 more sign photos so I'm good with that for next week, but I have lots other photos too...so either way I'm cool.

I love Korean food! :)

Signs or macros are both fine with me :)

Cool pictures this time, Mary! I know just where I'll go for another red sign, but I love macro. Either one sounds like fun.

Happy New year!

I love learned to eat some korean food too some years back. :)

I wasn't able to head out for red signs but posted a red photo anyway.

Signs next week would be fine with me or macro, either way.

I loved the photos that you posted...great samples for the theme.

I got so wrapped up in visiting others that I almost forgot to leave a comment for you. Cool signs. I love the double red of Red's Auto Repair. Place looks familiar to me... and I love that first "Improve Your Grove" shot. Happy Ruby Tuesday.

Melli said...

I would vote for Macro reds! I forgot all about the signs until yesterday - I had to go out hunting cuz I just was NOT gonna use that stop sign!!! LOL!

Gattina said...

I missed the thing with the sign, I didn't know. I would prefer different things with ruby red there are already so many themes online.
The picture with the red car is really very funny !

MaR said...

Love the idea of the signs, but I missed the hint as I was away!!!
Happy Tuesday!

Terri said...

Oh, I didn't know there was a theme! Oh well, I'll do signs next week. Or macros. Or macros of signs. Whatever!

Hope it's OK that I'm still fixating on photos from summer. I have red, red peppers for your enjoyment today. I do like your Red's Autos sign, though. How perfect is that? Great ideas, and I hope to see lots of versions of them next week.

Hi Mary! I haven't played in a bit, but have one up today. :) One true sign, and another "abstract" one.

That restaurant sign is making me hungry!

No signs from me this week. My son is sick so I went with what I had - some red shots taken the last day of my parents' visit and earmarked for Ruby Tuesday. I didn't know as I was taking them that that was also the moment the war started.

Anonymous said...

Sorry, no signs on my photo... I must have missed it...

Great red signs! The Korean restaurant one is very cool. I didn't manage to take a Ruby Tuesday shot. I thought I had a red sign photo in a folder somewhere but couldn't find it. Grrr. Oh well, off to check out some of the other Ruby Tuesdayers. Always a fun meme to visit! :D

I was craving some fresh flowers, so I have some ruby dahlias today instead of a sign.

This is my first time playing and I was unaware of a theme. Where do I find the theme for the next week?

You found some great signs with red. I really like the last one.

Anonymous said...

Love RED's sign best ;--)
I've shared my all time FAVORITE sign at Happily Retired Gal this morning ... it'll crack you up ... seriously!!! I'm thinking about a second Ruby Tuesday post at Small Reflections, but if you're doing signs again ... maybe I'll hold off until NEXT week. As for macros ... unless I get myself the new Nikon d60 I've got my eye on ... my existing camera doesn't do much in the way of macro photography.
Hugs and blessings,

I've posted my first Ruby Tuesday image. How fun! I love yours... especially the one with the red car without the license plate. You're right, the color red must be a powerful attraction. Cheers from California. Linnea

Mine's up, just in time before it's Wednesday!

although, if I were in California, I'd almost be early..

Great shots Mary! The red signs definitely grab my attention. And the slippers image you have is a little like mine :)

Sorry to be so late on this, but I scoured my files and had little in the line of signs to offer. So I just posted what I had from the past few days.

Great shots here, though!

The Steve said...

Probably a stupid question, the macro is that "flower" option on the camera right ? So you can get great close up detail ?

The Red's Auto shot was pretty clever :)

I'm late! But then I believe it's better late than never. Anyway, nice shots in here, Teach Mary. Mine is up too.
