Our first snow to speak of today. Mayor Bloomberg said to expect 6 inches and that he had the plows out already. Good for him! When I went out it was somewhat icy and my anti-lock brakes were working full time.
I think we got only about 3 inches at the end of the fall. It's supposed to rain tonight which would make me happy so I wouldn't have to shovel.

Oh, I wish. I'm in a north left state and more than 3 1/2 feet fell here in less than 30 hours. I can hardly lift the shovel high enough to reach the top layer...and it's bitterly cold. Sob.
Merry Christmas!!
If its fluffy and light enough I am going to blow it with the leaf blower. ah ha...
It really looks beautiful, but I'm not envious. I hate the clean up after being out in it!
I think we got about 6 or 7 inches here in CT.
Rain would be good, that would mean it wouldn't be so cold.
Wow, but you know, better you than me!
It does look beautiful, but I wouldn't want to shovel snow either. Hope you get the rain as predicted.
Hugs and blessings,
oh that was so pretty and the rain to clean up is a nice blessing thanks for sharing
beautifully white!
I am pleased to report that we got zero inches of snow here in south Georgia! hahaha. However, my SisterDears were not so lucky. They has 6 inches after only a few hours and it was still coming down. I miss New England, but I never miss the snow! Or scraping the windshield or shoveling, or...
Yes, I really did take those photos with a Point and Shoot!
Ay yes, we are the lemon in the lemon meringue pie of yesterday! Lovely, peaceful, clean. Gorgeous, Mary.
Dear teach Mary,
The snow looks so clean and delicate,
if one only had to relate to it on pictures or like children..
I know from before this change in climate, what shoveling snow and walking on slippery pavements are like for adults with porcelain bones, like myself.
No romance at all.
Still I'm dreaming of a White Christmas, just for that single day.

Oh I want some snow! I'm envious. It looks beautiful :O)
Ho Ho Ho Mary. Mary Christmas to you and your family from a very warm and pleasant Antipodean pool location.
We're in the middle of what Environment Canada calls "Snowmageddon." What's that, you ask? Three snowstorms in five days, the last one to arrive on Christmas Eve day. Will we have a White Christmas? LOL
make a snowball fro me... oh, and an angel, too!
I'll be happy if I can get out and go to work on Monday. As long as it isn't icy, the roads should be clear.
