Welcome to Ruby Tuesday! The Holidays are right around the corner!
I'd like to show you the Holiday Miniature Train Show at the New York Botanical Garden. There's Ellis Island, Yankee Stadium, the Flatiron Building, brownstones in Manhattan and Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Bridge, and so many other buildings and sights of New York City. All the buildings and decorations (except the trains) are made from plant material.

Oh I love miniature villages. They had one here near Toronto but it recently closed down after something like 30 years...so sad.
This one is quite elaborate! Thanks for the tour :)

The trains make for a perfect holiday display. When we were little, we had the Lionel trains setup around the tree. Loved to travel that loop with the classic set, and not plastic, but steel from the 1940s. The locomotive must have weighed about 5 lbs - massive. Nice sisplay!
Absolutely wonderful. That is an event I would love to see. I'd also like to see the White House decorated for Christmas. Have a wonderful Ruby Tuesday.

I like the slideshow, but my computer is running so slooowly it's a little frustrating. The snowflakes are neat! I posted two photos this week; couldn't resist the Rubiness.
That was very enjoyable! and reminded me of my husband's miniature train. It has seen better days and it is now packed away in the attic...

I've missed participating recently but have managed to share holiday 'rubies' this morning as I head up stairs to get ready for my PSE6 class. I'll be visiting later this afternoon or tomorrow depending on how the day goes. We're happy for the rain in So Cal (finally) but it IS wreaking havoc with our traffic.

I love minatures. Someday, I'd like to make little doll houses with my girls. A train set under the tree, circling, for some reason I've always wanted one of those.
