Skywatch Friday

Photobucket

The cloud formation on the left intrigued me on this day I was waiting to make a left turn on my way to school. I whipped out my trusy camera and snapped a coupla shots for Skywatch Friday. The second shot looks exactly like this first one so I didn't post it.

Photobucket

This is a shot of a condo complex in Main St. Flushing. See the moon in the upper left of the shot?

Happy Skywatch Friday!

I always chuckle when I read that someone was doing something ordinary when a gorgeous photo op appears and out comes the camera. ;-)

Happy Sky Watch!

Well done, Mary. See - this is why we all need to keep a camera handy when we're out and about.

Great spur of the moment pic on the first one! Quite incredible! And love how the moon appears by day in the 2nd!

The first one is just exploding with clouds. I like it. It's always interesting to see the moon in the light of day...
Have a good weekend Mary!

The building looks to me like it has Aztec or Mayan influence.

I'm trying to work on aiming the camera without looking, for times like this. I'm not so good at it yet. :-)

The sky in the first shot looks like rain is on it's way.

I couldn't make out the image in the first cloud, but I did get that you mooned us in the second one. Pappy

That cloud is so powerful. Love both but it's the dramatci cloud swalllowing the sky that great me.

Nice shots both but the moon and sunlit buildings are exceptional.

Nice shots from the car, the moon is still up! Did you leave home real early for school?

p/s: The huge star is a decorative item on top of a tower. The place houses lots of eateries and fun shops at the beach. Remember my kangaroo hopping? The same place.

Happy Weekend Mary!! :)

Oh my! I don’t envy your drive. I see YOUR skies are as variable as mine lately. The weather here can’t seem to make up its mind. I’ve published on both blogs this morning – SkyWatch/Haiku Friday at Sacred Ruminations and another HF post (in which I ‘reflect’ upon my upcoming Blogoversary) at Small Reflections containing a ‘Fall Thank You’ for all … just because.
Hugs and blessings,

Not doing SKF this week, Mary, but you snapped off a coupla good ones! When I read Flushing I immediately thought of The Nanny! hahaha! Did you ever watch her? Don't tell anybody, but I did. I'm so ashamed.

Hi Mary, you did good! I like the second on the best, just a nice daytime sky with the moon showing us where it likes to be.
