Cool shot. This brings back memories. I was born in the Bronx and the Whitestone Bridge is part of the few childhood memories I have. I always liked it. It even looks good in red.
I like the style of the Whitestone, and like crossing it...that is until I reach the Kew Gardens mess!
A lot of people thing Robert Moses had too much power. But each of the three East River crossings built under him were necessary...and with a great functional beauty as well. Lived in Bayside when little and enjoyed standing near the huge south tower of the Throgs Neck at Fort Totten...
What a beautiful photo for your Creative Photography Entry. I love the red and the effects you used. I would like to see NYC some day. I need to put that on my "to do" list! ;-)
It's FUN! I really prefer my photo's natural ... but every now and then it is fun to play with them! I was doing a little of that this evening myself... I might put a few up one day.

I don't participate in creative photography but I wanted you to know that I love that.

3 steps in editing creating this good photo. The technics of the filters and lightings are nicely used here.
Nice effect! I like the Whitestone - 30 some years ago, I crossed it a number of time on my trips to Connecticut via LaGuardia.

Very surreal! It looks like something from a dream landscape. A lovely, bright and happy sort of dream.
