Creative Photography #6






This is a shot of the elevated railway that accommodates the #7 From Main St. Queens into New York City. All I did was darken the shot slightly. I was surprised how colorful the photograph was on its own.

I love all the shadows and I love the lines.

I grew up by the 86th Street EL in Brooklyn.

You might not think of it as such, but prosaic items like wrought iron and steel are artistic as well. Like the ironwork on the el.

Even more artistic are the shadows...their straight lines complement the rail bridge.

A classic New York view!

I think this is most definitely an interesting shot. It's funny how some of the things that we look at everyday and don't really think about can become such great photographs.
