This is a shot of the elevated railway that accommodates the #7 From Main St. Queens into New York City. All I did was darken the shot slightly. I was surprised how colorful the photograph was on its own.

Very awesome shot!
Hey I hope you don't mind but I changed your link around on Mister Linkies so it will come to this page, just so when folks are looking during the week this link will bring them right here to your Creative Photography submission.
Have a great weekend Mary! :D
Cool. Have a great Sunday there.
It really IS more colourful than I would have thought. Amazing and very cool!
Great shot, Mary. Those lines are wonderful.
Very nicely done!
Great shot. It's amazing how complex some things are. Good luck!
This is one of those things that thousands of people see each day and don't take the time to notice the beauty. Great shot!
Great shot of an "everyday" place. You made the mundane interesting!
Have a good Sunday. Stay cool!
I love this view .. reminds me of the EL on Jerome Avenue near where I grew up

I'd be curious to compare this one with shots taken on a darker day... wonderful contrast Mary!
Looks very original and creative ! Nice photo !
I like the perspective of the shot, elevated railways...interesting!! :)
Great job on this one Mary. Great shots!
Congratulations for winning the CP!!
I love seeing urban shots! Great job!
Hey Mary - how did you get up there to graffiti your name on the EL !!!
I love all the shadows and I love the lines.
I grew up by the 86th Street EL in Brooklyn.
Wonderful photo. I love the angle and the lines and shadows.
Another great shot of a wonderful city...
Good Luck
Nice one here....
You might not think of it as such, but prosaic items like wrought iron and steel are artistic as well. Like the ironwork on the el.
Even more artistic are the shadows...their straight lines complement the rail bridge.
A classic New York view!
I think this is most definitely an interesting shot. It's funny how some of the things that we look at everyday and don't really think about can become such great photographs.
Good luck in the contest this week!
Mary thank you for your photo, I just wanted to say I appreciate all your entries!! :D
