Photo Hunters - bad hair

TnChick has given us the words BAD HAIR. Here's my little snorkeling man that I've had for many years. These little guys were popular a while back. I can't remember what they were called... does anyone?

UPDATE: Yes they are called trolls! Here's a link: Trolls It tells you all about them. Thanks guys!

Hey, these are Trolls and the originals are coming from Norway you know - not the plastic once!

You can read a bit about them on my Halloween post here :-)

Trolls
My SIL collected them and I had these cute cavemen versions around when Nikolaus was little. My post will pop up after midnight. Getting things loaded for autoposts.

Great choice. They were called trolls or damnit dolls when I was a kid. Not sure how the damnit dolls got started but that's what we called them. More polite children called them trolls.

Perfect for "bad hair". That reminds me that I still need to find one.
Thanks for the invite to join in on Ruby Tuesday, looks like fun. I'll be on the lookout for red for next time.

In 1963 we called them "trolls," and every teenage girl in my junior high had one.

My kids called these "Daddy Dolls" and always looked meaningfully at me when they said it - I have no idea why that could be :)

I also think they are trolls. My kids had some they were little (40 years ago for my first). One had blue hair - and reminded me of my then MIL.

LOL, that's great. Kind of reminds me of the hairdo I had back in the early 80's, in my punk days! Have a lovely weekend.

Yes my wife has one of these (maybe more than one) - troglodyte or troll is what they're called.

He is cute, lol ! I misunderstood "bad hair" and expected bald cranes with a few hairs on it. Now I realize that it has a different meaning and is not "poor hair" !

Ah yes, trolls. I'm glad someone else labeled them or that would have bugged me all day! LOL

I wish I could pull my hair up like that MOST days. GAH. Our humidity is terrible here.

Oh, that is funny for the bad hair theme! I actually still have one of those trolls from when I was about 10 or 12. Mine has green hair but no swimming gear!

I still have mine from college and my daughter was lucky enough to have her own new little batch when she was young!

Certainly fits a "bad hair" theme!
This post is a smiley one Mary.

I love them and have a bunch of them put away for my children to laugh at later in life. They are indeed TRolls.

Troys!!! I remember having them when I was younger. My mom couldn't quite understand the fascination with them *LOL*

p/s: The little red marks are there, cause you're the owner :) They allow you to delete those spammers away by clicking on the red cross :) No worries my dear.

HA! I remember those little guys from when I was in HS.

We used to call them "wishnicks". I had a few and were very attached to them although I have no idea what happened to them. Just think...years ago - wishnicks or trolls / today - game boys and iPods. How the world has changed. Perfect choice for this weeks photohunt theme!

Not only were we just in NYC, but our hotel was in Queens! I'd love to pick your brain sometime about living there...just to gain a different perspective from my own southern country gal view. If you have some time, and don't mind - drop me an email. ( pollywogcreekporch at gmail dot com )

A friend gave my baby son these trolls and I had to hide them because they made my son cry. They look scary to the poor baby. haha.... I find them cute.

Those are great. We had about twenty of those that we got from a second hand shop. The kids played with them for ages. No idea if we still have them.

Love your pictures of the art exhibition. That elephant is pretty talented.

Now that is some bad hair. I just read a book in which the main character collected Trolls. I was never really fond of them myself.
