Summary
John McCain is attacking Barack Obama's opposition to the Kyl-Lieberman amendment, which (among other things) called for labeling Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization. McCain claims that Obama's opposition means that he also opposed calling the IRGC terrorists. We find otherwise.
- Obama cosponsored an earlier bill that also called for designating the IRGC as a terrorist organization.
- The Kyl-Lieberman amendment did more than just label the IRGC terrorists. Obama stated at the time that he opposed the bill on the grounds that it constituted "saber-rattling."
- McCain claims that Obama must oppose calling the IRGC a terrorist group because Obama's Web site doesn't say anything about the IRGC. McCain's argument is a glaring example of the logical fallacy of argumentum ad ignorantiam.

I'm gonna find this presidential campaign VERY interesting and intense. And, I'm gonna love it...Obama all the way.
Were you watching CNN on Tuesday evening? We Americans got to see ALL three in their speeches....McCain, a few hundred attendees, Hillary...so, so....and then Obama in Minnesota with thousands!! It was so thrilling. [I was scared there for a day or two afterward that Hillary was going to announce her intentions of going on an independent ticket for August....and really screw up the system. :::wiping brow:::

I really liked something Obama said in one of his recent speeches, he was acknowledging all of the ways that McCain had served his country, and showing respect for that service, but then said, that didn't mean that he agreed with where McCain wanted to lead us in the future.
The more "experience" a person has the more baggage and preconceptions they have, the more old scores to settle; which translates into poor decision-making. What this country needs is a fresh, new take on our foreign policy -- like the willingness to talk to people -- "enemies" or not.
