Photo Hunters - Narrow

tnchick's word for our Saturday Photo Hunt is NARROW.

There are fat books (like Tom Brokaw's book, Boom) and NARROW books. Two very NARROW books on this shelf in my office are Book Lovers Quotations given to me as a gift and Pink Geishas which is a collection of my poems.

Here's a quote from Book Lovers Quotations:

"Books can be dangerous. The best ones shoould be labelled 'This could change your life'." ~Helen Exley

My favourite quote on books, “You cannot open a book without learning something.” - Confucius

Those are some pretty interesting books you've got. The Pink Geisha seems appealing to me :)

Have a great weekend Mary!!

What a good idea for the narrow theme. I never would have thought of narrow books but I have some much loved narrow books. Great quote.

I don't know why books become more and more fat, I realize it because the shelf becomes narrow. I should put them on diet !

Totally makes sense that your photo includes books! Great choice. I had a tough time with this one. I have some really narrow children's books that would have fit the bill.

BTW-thanks for posting some favorites on my son's b-day post last week. He was thrilled!

This is so typical of a book lover. There would be books everywhere, just like in my case.. hehe. Great idea Mary. See you around and have a great weekend :)

Be it narrow or wide, as long as it's a good book. :)

You have a book of poems. Wonderful. I can do essays but I have no talent in poem writing. Anyway, "narrow" books can be read in a day or in a matter of a few hours. :)

Oh how can I miss your blog title is Work of the Poet. :)

Since my boys aren't readers (wounds me to the heart), narrow books are the ONLY books they care for. lol

That's an interesting interpretation of this week's theme. No need to apologize for not stopping by for a few days - I know it's hard to get around everyone. I've been struggling myself over the last few days. Hope you're having a nice, cosy and safe weekend!

P.S. I'll probably be doing a Weekend Snapshot.

I was intrigued by the title of your blog. I saw it on the big bang tag. I'd love to be a poet, too, but sadly, I'm not good at it. I've seen a lot of pictures on the photo hunt thing but you're the first one I've seen who posted books. I love reading, too. And I also taught college students when I was younger. I think I'm going to like you. Can we exchange links?
