Obama takes Iowa

Senator Barack Obama of Illinois, a first-term Democratic senator trying to become the nation’s first African-American president, rolled to victory in the Iowa caucuses on Thursday night, lifted by a record turnout of voters who embraced his promise of change.

Mike Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas, defeated Mitt Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, delivering a serious setback to Mr. Romney’s high-spending campaign and putting pressure on Mr. Romney to win in New Hampshire next Tuesday.

I am very happy about this result and so are many other Europeans ! I like this young fresh guy he will bring a new wind in if he is elected. I also liked Hilary. But this religious guy not at all, he would be like the pope of America !

Obama seems like a decent guy, and from the candidates with a realistic chance of winning he seems like the best alternative.
