Denver (AP) Democrat John Edwards is exiting the presidential race Wednesday, ending a scrappy underdog bid in which he steered his rivals toward progressive ideals while grappling with family hardship that roused voter's sympathies but never diverted his campaign, The Associated Press has learned.

This upsets me a little as he had mentioned he would stay in through Super Tuesday, I think he sold himself a little short here.

We were sad, my hubby spent yesterday evening scraping off our Edwards '08 stickers. I told him I'd rather just draw a sad face with a sharpie.. Apparently, he's decided to run for VP again..
