Monochrome Monday on Wednesday

The best thing about me is you.

I edited this photo on Photobucket using the sketch filter. I faded the effect a bit. I wanted you to see what the original photograph (in black & white) looked like so I included it below. I don't know which one I like best. What do you think?

Difficult - the effect is interesting but it lacks something - so it is the photograph for me.

I like the original photo, but I like the altered one, too - it looks like a piece of embroidery or other textile.

I like both of them. To me the first one is like a etching and the second is a photograph. Of course they are both the same photograph but I mean the effect. I like them in different ways. Good capture.

Difficult to choose! I guess I prefer the original photo. ;-)

Um, I love the photo, but the effect is rather cool...
OK, the photo! I do like interesting captures.

Happy Wednesday. I hope to visit the Ruby Tuesdayers out there soon ;-)

Dear Mary T
I like the original one.
What really stikes my eye is the
wet feathers that are dripping into the water.
I also think the damp "peach fuzz" on its long neck is kind of cute.

But I like the altered picture too, because it almost seems like you can see the bird's reflection in the water and I love reflections!
Love Terry

I like the sketch. It hilights the bird and mutes the brush in the image. Nice work!

I'm a little late on this Monochrome. But it deserves a belated visit.
It looks like an engraved metal plaque. I think I prefer the altered one. So uncommon.
