Monochrome Monday on Wednesday

Photobucket
A lovely lake near me in Bayside. There's a trail around that you can walk.

It has been decades since we lived there as a kid, but with the expansive salt water East River / LI sound shore around Bayside, I hadn't considered that there might be a freshwater lake in Queens as well. Never too old for me to learn something new...

The B&W photo is lovely!

ya know, sometimes even with black and whites you can still "see" color....if you use your imagination

Lovely Monochrome Mary. Very restful.

This is lovely. I would never think of making a black and white of a lake scene! I came looking for info on your new sepia meme. I'll keep looking.

I grew up in Bayside, but now am in Seattle. I wonder where this lake is? This is a truly lovely photo. Using one color only really helps the photographer focus on the importance of light and composition. Lovely example and very well done.

Very beautiful. I visited my grandparents in Queens last year and can't imagine this beauty near them.

i like your new O picture on your side bar...is the east river where all the mafia gangsters bury the bodies...like let's take them to the east river and dump them...or up the east river will be a great place to put a cement donut on them and sink them

What a fascinating photo. It has the look of an old wood press graphic.
