Ruby Tuesday

Hello everyone! It's Ruby Tuesday once again. Look what I have for you today:

A series of "ruby-esque" paintings I found in a beautifully decorated condo for sale.

Photobucket

They were hanging next to each other and impressed me very much. And no we didn't buy the condo. We were accompanying my BIL and SIL who were looking.

There were no signatures on the paintings.

I think I'll put the Ruby Tuesday rules on my sidebar for new people...

Remember how people who participate like to have others visit their posts -- So be kind and visit your fellow Ruby Tuesday bloggers. I'll make every effort to visit some of you even though I'm taking a little break to concentrate on my teaching this semester.

I f you are new to Ruby Tuesday say so in your comment and I'll definitely try to visit you.

Well I guess I shouldn't be surprised at how easy it was to top the list this week since the post went up on a holiday. Proving once again that I have no life.

But I found some redness in my recent archives all the same

Hi Mary! I am joining this week! :D

And I love those paintings! Check out my model here:D

What went through the artist or the owner's life or mind that these were left behind? Interesting, lively paintings that you found, Mary.

Good luck with your new semester. My "baby" starts first grade tomorrow. Who is more anxious, mom or daughter?

Isn't it fun that Ruby has a way of popping up wherever you go. Enjoy your time Maryt!!

Felisol said...

Dear Teach,
How do you get time to teach with your successful Ruby Tuesday?
I love the ruby jazz paintings. It simply has to be some soft jazz, perhaps Billie Holiday they're playing.
Hope your students get inspired the way your bloggers do.

The paintings are beautiful, Mary - I'm impressed, too.

Did your BIL and SIL buy the condo?

Maddy said...

I most certainly will [visit] although mine won't be up until tomorrow but I'm here because you popped up on my blogroll as having just posted.

I sense I begin to ramble.

Although I have the links, I much prefer the boxy one that you have. Where can I find the boxy one please?

Cheers

I wonder how many items get left behind when condos are sold!

Hope your first day back isn't too tiring, Teach. Happy Ruby Tuesday!

Hi Teach, may your new college week be as fun as dancing :-)

MyMaracas said...

I love the paintings, and angles you used make the set seem to dance along with the music. Very nice!

I hope I'm not breaking or missing any rules? Please let me know, if so?

Like the old song, after seeing these pictures, I hear the synphony.

I am surprised this artwork didn't make the move, too...

Those paintings look pretty huge to me. I'm sure they will look great if displayed in places with tall ceilings. Nice series of ruby paintings :)

Rulez??? There are rules for Ruby Tuesday??? Guess I’ll need to check those out … but I’ve added my link to Small Reflections because I’ve posted my 2nd Ruby Tuesday there just now … a little early because I’ve got class tomorrow morning, so I won’t be visiting until tomorrow afternoon.
Hugs and blessings,

They are very nice paintings. Were they being offered with the condo?

storyteller said...

Um ... I forgot to say I think the paintings you've shared here this week very 'kewl' ... I'm a bit distracted by TENNIS and I'm seriously sleep deprived so please accept my apology for the oversight ;--)
Hugs and blessings,

I really like these paintings. They remind me of a jazz club I used to go to a lot (before the owners decided the rent money was better spent on something else and lost their lease!)

I have a lot of fond memories of the club, which I guess is why the paintings speak to me.

Nice series... like it a lot.

Mine will be up shortly!

Not playing but wanted to comment. I like the paintings. Did your BIL and SIL like the condo? You don't have to answer this question. I know you are busy. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)

My first entry, like this sort of challenge, because this gives a great variation of pictures. When I look around I always can find some red. This time very much 'red' in my pictures of the Provence, South of France.
