Shadow Shot Sunday

Tracy of Hey Harriet hosts Shadow Shot Sunday!

I just had to shoot these shadows that spread out across the street from my house in Queens, NY.

Unfortunately, you can see the plowed snow is already dirty from car exhaust. I try to overlook it. I thought there was a great mix of shadows here.

The two houses you see in the upper shot are in the Spanish style with real clay roof tiles.

Go visit Hey Harriet to see other participants and Tracy's gallery of previous posters.

Truly beautiful snowy shadows. And just look at that roof! Wonderful.

Whitestone looks lovely, the houses classic. One doesn't often see a red tile roof north of Phoenix. The dirty snow means that the NYC Sanitation Dept. (they do plow in Queens?) cleared the road for safety. But the lawns are covered in beauty, and we forget about the dirty snow. Great capture!

You found some great shadows on the street.
Ah yes, the snow is so pretty as it falls and when it's fresh, but it gets dirty pretty quickly.

Have a great weekend, Mary, and Happy Valentine's Day!

Love how the shadow of the tree looks like it is reaching out to the other side. Great photos.

Unfortunately, the pretty white stuff doesn't stay white for long in man's world, we grunge it up sooner or later...I for one will be glad when it's down the drain!!!
