Hi there Mary - we all get confuzzled over three day weekends. This is why I think there should be more of them, so we can get some practice and not be so confuzzled any more ;)

I know - I packed my little one today ready for PE - then realized they have PE on Monday and today is not. I really like the Statue of Liberty photo. Great spot to get the image - the red adds some extra boldness!

Yeah, it did seem like Sunday didn't it? I like the contrast of the bright red crane and the kind of misty colors.

Hildegarde said...

yes, I like them all three very much. Glad you enjoyed a sunday on monday :-)

I like the muted tones of the reds in the distance. The first, especially, does not feel like NYC at all except that there she is - Lady Liberty.

Hi Mary,
Today is my first Ruby Tuesday, glad I didn't miss it cause I, too, felt like it was Sunday all day yesterday. Which would make today Monday, of course!
I enjoyed your pictures - spent 10 days in NYC 2 summers ago and loved it.
I want a red front door - maybe that will be my next project?!!
Stop by for a visit-

Very nice photo set.

I can barely keep up with what day it is when it's not a holiday. This is why I schedule all my posts in advance. Okay, most of my posts in advance.

Love the red doors, they look like they'd be right at home in a Bollywood movie or an old Kung Fu flick.

I have a cousin that lives in NY> I visited her the year I graduated high school. She was in a cold water walk up on the fifth floor at the time and her bath tub was part of the kitchen.

She now lives in a suite on the 34th floor of a building facing Central Park.

All of your photos week after week have convinced me it's time I start planing to make another visit.

Never ceases to amaze how much red there is in the world and how you only have to have a little red in a photo and it brings the photo to life. Have a great Tuesday

You're popular today! I was ready yesterday but went to Houston this morning.
I did go by the Texas store, their items were more pathetic than the ones I told you earlier about in the Sam Houston Statue Gift Shop.
Sorry, but I'm working on it still!

Those are all sooooo pretty, and red. I like red doors and red stairways and red items in general, especially from Brooklyn, N.Y.
Your problem is forgiven, I've been a day ahead all week long.
