Horses of a Different Color
Nassau Museum of Art, Roslyn Harbor, N.Y.
While it was terribly muggy and rainy, our visit today to the Nassau Museum of Art included these unusual and delightful outdoor painted horses by local artists.
Go visit Robin at Around the Island for other participants.

Oh I love that horse. How wonderful :)
I love it!
We had penguins in Tel Aviv one year. Yes, penguins. Go figure.
At first I thought the poor things were alive! The eyes look so real. I'm reminded of the tarted-up elephants in Asia!
Fabulous! The colours are amazing.
In Dublin, we had a similar display once of cows, painted by local artists, and one of them was stolen.
Can you believe it? Who would want a painted cow in their house/garden??
In a town near my home they have had moose of different colors up & down the downtown streets. It's a sight to behold!
I think the first horse is best, probably because it's easy for me to understand what's on it!
I absolutely love them. thanks for stopping by
Mary these are amazingly cool gotta show my youngest!
Very cool, Mary. I love these.
WOW! The colourful horse is fantastic. In Toronto we have big moose sculptures situated around town. I love these photos - fantastic.
Horses had to take a lot through history - even the artists :) May be they are man's best friend! Very creative idea - We Love NY too!
Ooooh Fabulous! It reminds me of the Cow Parade in Manchester!
