Ruby Tuesday

So here we are, our first Ruby Tuesday in April. Traveling around the neighborhood a lot of flowers are blossoming. These below were quite unusual but they were RED so I took photos.

These RED flowers looked like roses. But roses don't blossom in April. do they? I think they are a special kind of rose. Does anyone know its name?

Since this is the Ruby Tuesday before Passover and Easter I'd like to wish all my friends who are celebrating:

Oh I envy your beautiful red flowers! I am no sure though what kind of roses...or if they are roses, im sure thought they are pretty :)

Those are unusual, and very lovely.

Thanks for the Passover good wishes, and a very happy Easter to you too.

Here's my entry this week - can someone stick it on the linkie for me if you get it up please? It's late and I have to head up to bed - I've got a ton of Passover seder cooking to do tomorrow (who me, panic?)!

Thanks for the Pesach greetings!

Gorgeous flowers. I would enjoy viewing a bed of fauna in the front yard...the early April blooms sing Spring!

No linky yet, but here's mine:

Is that a camelia in the second shot? Nice one! But I really love the whatever-they-are's in the top photo.

Sicne Mr. Linky's apparently AWOL, I'll just do what everybody else is doing Ruby Tuesday #33: I Don't Know What It Is Either Redux

Now if you'll excuse me, I have some friends jumping off a bridge I need to catch up with.

I can't see Mr Linky either. Here is my link:

Thanks for the flowers, Mary, they kind of illuminate our grey weather. Spring is late, here.
I would say that your second flowers are camellia. But I'm not a speciallist.
Happy Ruby Tuesday, Mary.

Dear teach Mary,
Some beauties you've gathered today.
I can't believe that roses are blossoming in April, New York.
I think India and Australia have roses this time of the year.
Happy paaske. That is Norwegian for Easter and Pesach.

Love this season, with its flowers! I see a lot of yellows, pinks and purples, but not so many reds yet. I also posted a flower.

Hi Mary,
Love those first vibrant red flowers! I think Mojo might just be right about the second ones.

I posted the red buds of Verbena. Must be a flower week. :)

Happy Easter and Passover to everyone!

Beautiful flowers, Mary. We don't see much red until later in the season.

I have an idea for a photo meme, come take a look and see what you think:

Camellias? Ironically, a show on HGTV last night had the landscaper buying them, and that looks like them. The guys specifically stated that they are used in place of roses where roses won't grow due to too much shade.

What are the first flowers? They are yummy!

It was only 43 and rainy all day today. Ugh.

i am not really versed when it comes to blooms sorry, but they are pretty unusual and pretty:)

They look like roses to me. Here in Singapore, roses blooms all year round.

It's my mother-in-law's 92nd birthday. Yes.... 92 years old! My father-in-law is 95. :)

In Chinese culture, the birthday girl /boy has red eggs and a bowl of Longevity noodles on their birthday.

Those roses are called "Pfingstrosen" in German, if I'm not totally wrong.
They are not really roses though.

Lovely and beautiful though :)!
