My Secret Admirer Part 2

Several weeks ago I wrote about the children across the street who had secretly left me notes that expressed sweet and lovely messages. You can see that post here.

Well, they've continued to leave me messages:

Here's what they left on St. Patrick's Day:

Here's what they left yesterday for Easter and what they said:

A very pretty Easter card that sings "A Tisket a Tasket" when you open it and Dove Truffle eggs. Mmmm!

This is what they wrote inside the card. You can see they signed their names this time. I think you remember they are Muslim Afghani children. They specify the "first floor" because they live on the 1st floor and their cousins live on the 2nd floor (of a two-family house).

I have responded with stickers, writing pads and journals, pens and pencils, candy, etc. and thanks yous and poems.

They lift me up and please my heart.

Children are the sweetest.
So easy to please and likewise easy to hurt.
Thank you for brightening these children's world.
They repay you in a million good ways.

This is what helps promote peace and love .. extending a kindness and not asking anything in return ... its a mitzvah!
