Ruby Tuesday

Hi everyone! It's Ruby Tuesday again!

Have you ever seen such beautiful RED flowers? They were at my arts and crafts store. I took a whole bunch of pix and then created this collage.

Photobucket

Here's my big black boot spruced up a bit with poppies from the store. They raise my spirits a bit...

Thanks a lot!

Wow! Your store must always be happy and thriving with love! I also have red flowers at home, some time I'd post them too :)

I made crema de fruta for today's post!

Red flowers mean, to this tired-of-winter Northeastern native, SPRING, and generally warmer weather. So they add the perfect warmth to the picture...

Great idea to decorate the boot - sort of a twist on getting your cast signed.

Heal well my friend.

Dear teach Mary,
have you hurt your foot, or is this a new vogue?
The red flower made it a happy sight anyway.
Your flower collage reminds me it's time to buy seeds for the summer flowers.
In just two days we're having April's fool.
This is definetely the most exciting season.
Something new every day.

Mary, you created a special edition of black foot for Ruby Tuesday ! Fine idea.Hope you'll take it off as soon as possible and just keep the poppies.
I love these flowers. They don't resist when they're cut, but you have them in a collage for ever.

Your collage is beautiful and while your boot is very fashionable with it's red flowers, it doesn't look very comfy. Hope you won't have to wear it long. Happy Ruby Tuesday!

It's been a while since I've played. I'm back this week and glad to be here. I'm so behind on times that I don't know why you have that boot on your foot. :(

I love the collage that you made. What program did you use for that? It looks awesome!

Thanks for hosting RT, Mary. It's a fun meme!!!

How do I turn off the "music'? The rap stuff is NOT what I want to listen to when trying to view your beautiful photos. Sorry, can't stay to view them all with that noisy stuff playing.

I did see your boot and didn't realize you had a foot problem. Hope it's temporary for you, poor thing. Love the RED poppies. And your header photo is FABULOUS!

Artificial Flowers .. close enough ... remember this?

Alone in the world was poor little Anne
As sweet a young child as you'd find.
Her parents had gone to their final reward
Leavin' their baby behind.

(Did you hear?)
This poor little child was only nine years of age
when mother and dad went away;
Still she brav-el-y worked
At the one thing she knew
to earn her few pennies a day.

She made artificial flowers, artificial flowers,
Flowers for ladies of fashion to wear;
She made artificial flowers, you know
those artificial flowers,
Fashioned from Annie's despair.

With paper and shears, with some wire and wax
She made up each tulip and 'mum.
As snowflakes drifted into her tenement room
[ Find more Lyrics on www.mp3lyrics.org/wUJ ]
Her baby little fingers grew numb.

From makin' artificial flowers,
those artificial flowers
Flowers for ladies of high fashion to wear.
She made artificial flowers, artificial flowers
Made from Annie's despair.

They found little Annie all covered with ice
Still clutchin' her poor frozen shears
Amidst all the blossoms she had fashioned by hand
And watered with all her young tears.

There must be a heaven where little Annie can play
In heavenly gardens and bowers.
And instea-a-ad of a halo she'll wear 'round her head
A garland of genuine flowers.

No more artificial flowers;
Throw away those artificial flowers,
Flowers for ladies of society to wear.
Throw away those artificial flowers,
Those dumb-dumb flowers,
Fashioned from Annie's,
Fashioned from A-a-a-annie's
Des-pa-a-a-air.
(Give her the real thing!)

You're so artistic Mary- this is a great collections of 'red' shots! i would never have thought to mix them together like that.

Whereas I go in to these stores looking for beads and don't see the endless possibilities awaiting me like you do...I just see the chaos in the store...the open packets with bits missing, the items in the wrong places, the discarded parts on the floor, the frazzled assistants, the frustrated customers....

Can you tell that I used to work in retail?!!

Mine's up too now. Happy Tuesday!
