Monochrome Monday on Wednesday

Photobucket

This is a gazebo in the Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City, N.Y. It is meant to be a sculpture but it was unidentified.

There is something odd about it as well. I think the artist meant it to be odd. Can you detect what is so unusual about this gazebo?

I love the black and white. I always wanted a gazebo but I got a garden house instead.

Yes, there is no entrance into this gazebo! So it's more of a sculpture pedestal without a sculpture in it, to me. It is odd, I agree, especially if called a sculpture. Each to his own. Nice b/w photo.

You could have combined this with OddShot quite comfortably.
Perhaps it is there ready for an entity to materialise - but there is no way out.

It is indeed unique - a gazebo without an entrance. Very interesting post.

Even without an entrance/exit it's still enchanting. I love gazebos.

Yep, no way in. That's a wonderful sculpture. I may have to check out the park the next time I'm in New York.
