These are photos of the very last blooms of summer. I found the zinnias in my neighbor's front garden. You'll notice in the second photo the zinnia on the right is fading. The celosia in the bottom photo were sunning just outside the Administrative Building on the college campus where I teach.
I wish everyone a HAPPY RUBY TUESDAY!
Have fun posting anything red you like. And don't forget to visit the other participants - they love to have visitors, just as you do!
Oh and it just occurred to me... in a couple of weeks we'll start to post RED for the holidays! Oh boy, that's gonna be fun!
Also Sepia Scenes posts at 5 o'clock EST on Wednesday evening for Thursday.

Mary! A couple weeks to Christmas!! You are scaring me :0)
It will be fun to have so much material leading up to Christmas. Love your late blooms. I'm doing some more harvest this week...
Beautiful Mary! Love the first shot:)
Mine is up HERE
I love Zinnias
wow what beautiful red flowers and of course the are the best colors
Looks like these gardens are going out in style. I can still find a few blooms in my neighbourhood but nothing that's in this good shape.
Dear teach Mary,
I love both the Zinnias,(Georgine, I think we call them), and the Celosia.
What I wonder, after having followed your blogging for a while, is ; when do you get time to teach? Or eat Or take those wonderful pictures?
I might get a tiny bit envious if it was not for the fact, you are making me and one hundred fellow bloggers so happy and inspired!
Happy Ruby Tuesday to you
from Felisol
Red for the holidays, I really look forward to that !!
Wow, those are stunning! I don't have flowers this week, I was tyring to do something seaosnal all week. But the Halloween theme in red was just a little too gruesome (and obvious), sooo
on a multi-cultural note...
Ruby Tuesday #10 - Special Diwali Edition: "Lakshmi"
Beautiful photos, Mary. I also love your new Header graphic.
A few weeks until christmas... YAY - my favorite holiday.
Today's RT entry might scare some people. It's a Halloween edition :-)
Now that last one is RED! I cheat when I want a flower, I figure that is why they have blooms in the stores. :D
i want to keep all the bright colors of summer.
Beautiful zinnia photos, Mary!
I can't believe I'm so early this week.
Christmas?!?! not yet, pleeeeeez

The red flowers look so beautifully healthy and red for this time of year. Happy Ruby Tuesday!
Such lovely flowers Mary! I liked the celosias most! It's the first time I've seen those kind of flowers.
Happy Tuesday!
Beautiful colours!
I so miss all my lovely big Dahlias I had in my previous garden.
I'm no good with names of flowers, they're beautiful and in perfect rubies shade :)
Happy Ruby Tuesday Mary :)
Gotta love the flowers while they're still here! We've had frost already, so most everything is gone :(. I finally posted a Halloween pic this week.
Oh Beautiful Shots!!!!
So many nice red flowers. ;)
Wanna try my Laksa Lemak Tuna Noodles?
The flowers are beautiful. Alas, it is getting cold in the Northeast and shots like this remind me of warm weather...which is fleeting as winter cannot be too far behind
Beautiful Zinnias and Celosia, Teacher Mary. I think my first time to see red Zinnia. I usually see orange, peach, pink, yellow and white ones. With regards to Celiosa, my Aunt grew lots of them when I was young but we don't know it's name.
Those are beautiful!
I love the first photo! It's nice to see all these happy flowers when everything here is quickly bald.

Lovely red flowers! I saw many red blooms at the Deepavali carnival. Red is an auspicious colour for Asians.
Glad there wasn't any gruesome Halloween post. :)
love the reds on those blooms! simply vibrant:)
Celosia are like these beautiful spears of flame in the garden. I used to grow them when I lived on Long Island. And your zinnias - I am so impressed that they are stilling hanging in there!

Dear Mary T
Most of our flowers in Welland are gone.
The cold snaps have been coming and taking our flowers and that is why I was so pleased to see that first flower here as your blog came into view!
They are all so pretty!

Love the red flowers. Always a pleasure.
Hi Mary,
I hate to tell you, but these are dahlias, not zinnias. But still beautiful, no? And I love the new color scheme. Nice!
I've posted a rainy fall apple. Come see if you have time.
Beautiful, Mary, I'm glad you captured them before they faded away.
