I have never gone there - I can't...I have written this on a few posts today, but yesterday was a weird day for me and I did not know why...then today I woke angry and off....then I realized the date..the anger has been sitting inside me all day long.
As someone else said, slow progress rebuilding as a slow process of healing. Once we get the current lunatics out of office (assuming we don't replace them with even crazier lunatics), I think growth and healing will both move faster.

A big empty space in our city and our hearts.
Peace Mary
A day none who knows what happened on this day will ever forget :(
We will never forget, Mary!
A poignant sight.
The work there is laborious and slow. Just like the healing of our nation.
IM glad today is September 12.
Thanks for posting this. As a teen I went up in the towers and I have a hard time picturing the city without them.

I never thought of it like Songbird wrote, but now that I do consider it...the idea of slow building corresponding with slow healing makes sense.
