Winners by Friday!

I will read all comments and decide the winners by the end of Friday!

How do you tell the "GOOD GUYS" from the "BAD GUYS?"

~Come on join the contest!
~

It's not just white hats and black hats, right? Do you make judgments on what you consider generally accepted beliefs and assumptions? Or do you decide as each person comes your way? Do you know how to do it? Do you remember how you learned to tell the difference? Are your criteria still workable and true?

Write a comment describing to us all how you can tell. The best comment wins!

I'll have a winner's badge and a badge for 2nd and 3rd place best answer.

The contest will run til Saturday at midnight. On Sunday midday I'll announce the winners!

Well, in my line of work, the bad guys are still alive and the good ones are gone on! Just kidding, it is in the eyes! Thanks for stopping by my place. Have a wonderful day!

I have the unpopular belief that we are all bad guys needing grace and mercy everyday of our lives to do anything good! Without the intervention by God on our behalf no one can be good so generally I'm not impressed with white or black hats :0) I think the typically perceived bad guy can be a good guy and the typically good guy probably is a bad guy :0)

ummmmm... for me it's a psychic/intuitive thing...

I see it in their eyes, and facial/body expression....a good guy just moves differently where as a bad guy holds a different air about them.

huh... not easy at all... there's no such thing as a typical good guy or a typical bad guy in real life, i don't think. and what's good for one may be bad for the other...
however, with the people i meet i usually know instinctively if i can trust someone or not... and i'm rarely wrong.

it's a bit more difficult with public persons, but for most of those, their acts speak for themselves...

Hey Teach,
For sure, this is not an easy question. For one reason, bad operators are often smooth operators.

Having said that, I run from people who appear to
1. be manipulative.
2. feel superior.
3. think they know it all…before they’ve heard the question.
4. want to be in total control.

And I seek out people who
1. show compassion towards others.
2. see two sides before choosing which side they want to align themselves. (They know how to listen.)
3. share any credit as well as any blame.

The criteria I learned growing up was based on a very closed community and crazy parents.

To compensate for their judgements I think I learned very early to trust my OWN "spider senses" and take everyone and everything one-on-one.

Not to say that I don't have instant reactions - I do but I always ask myself where the reaction is coming from - them or me?

To muddy up the waters even more - I think more people need to realize that very good people can make mistakes that make them appear to be bad people on the surface.

Life is 3D after all.

For me it comes down to measuring each person as they come. the definition is also very fluid...a good guy can become a bad guy and vice-versa depending upon how they react to certain stimuli

Most everyone begins as a good guy and then their designation can change - again based upon their reactions to different scenarios...well except for that person you see across a crowded room and immediately you say to yourself "Nope, do not like them"

I grew up in a big Italian family and it was really easy to tell the good kids from the bad. Their mothers had it tattooed on their foreheads. The good ones my mother let me associate with, the bad was were off limits. And I on the other hand snuck and associated with both.

Good guys look into your eyes, bad eyes often hide away from your sight.

Bad guys have bolts in there neck or sharp teeth and are bat like or get really hairy when there is a full moon.

Good guys are always trying to kill the bad guys with a stake, fire or a silver bullet.
