Skywatch Friday

I took two quick shots while I was out today. An interestingly decorated facade on a building. Of course the second shot is a close up of the eagle. The sky was practically colorless and not particularly interesting.

That's a great facade and a very imperial eagle!

When you have boring skies it's great to find a building like this one to make it more interesting!

Sweet Eagle... we have skies like that sometimes and I'm stumbling around outside as well looking for neat ornaments and all I find is trees and mountains... even that can get a little monotonous at times... LOL.
Great photos.

Nice piece of stone work with a nice sky.

My lady and her lamp - are now up and running.

Skies like that always make me sleepy and feel dreary.

Whew... thought I lost a day! Terrific shots... the eagle is awesome, of course.

The sky does that to us this time of year. That fade to white leave the good stuff in an interesting out-of-time-and-place world, though!

Wonderful shots regardless of the sky! Tom would say that's what Skywatch is all about and I agree.

The facade looks very striking against the gray sky. Nice photos.

That is a great shot. The ornaments on old buildings are so much more interesting than the bare facades of so many modern ones.

I too tried to make sky pictures yesterday while on an excursion with our city seniors, but the sky was coloress grey ! A pity because the region is so beautiful.

The sky can't be spectacular all the time, Mary. How could we appreciate extraordinary unless we also have the ordinary? And even ordinary can have its moments!

What great shots

I love little architectural touches like this. It makes you feel like the architect is telling (or showing rather) you a secret. Great photos.

Cool eagle. Must be an older bbuilding. They don't use real architectural details like that anymore...

TGIF and have a great weekend!

I like this a lot! Interesting facade; don't see those so much out west. The sky was it's unassuming backdrop.

I'm so behind here...liked the SWF!

"Fly Like An Eagle" came to mind!

With the heat here...our skies look the same :)

Hi Mary,
Your shot of the sky even though it is grey adds to the amazing presense the Eagle has on the top of the facade. Wonderfully done!

I posted mine on Saturday. I was going to take a later shot in the day but fell asleep after dinner, so instead of giving up, I decided to do SWF on Saturday! ;-) Come by and take a look if you get a chance.
Hugs,
Kimmie
