"Getting to Know You" meme

~PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR PHOTO HUNT~

My friend Kimmie tagged me for this meme. I'm delighted to do it! Thanks Kimmie!

The Rules:

1. The rules of the game get posted at the beginning.
2. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
3. At the end of the post,the player then tags 5 or more people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they've been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
4. Let the person who tagged you know when you've posted your answers.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. What was I doing 10 years ago?
Ten years ago I had just gotten a job teaching 2 sections of a course called "Books & Brunch" for the continuing education department of a local community college. The members of the classes were retired, older women (men were not excluded from the course but only two men have ever signed up in the 10 years I've been teaching! Ha!) who loved reading and discussing books. We read between 6-7 books per semester and spent 2 hours every other week discussing each book.
2. What are 5 Things on my To-Do List for today:
I have to answer this meme. I have to do the wash. I have to shop for tonight's dinner. I have to watch some DVDs a couple of people have asked me to watch and comment about.
3. Snacks I Enjoy:
You name the junk food I like it. But these days all I snack on is cheese-filled pretzel sandwiches and hard candy.
4. Things I would do if I were a Billionaire:
The members of my family would have everything they want. Houses, new cars, jewelry, housekeeping help, etc. I would buy a condo in Florida (a really nice place on the water) and all the amenities that goes with it.
5. Three Of My Bad Habits:
I talk too much. I snack too much. Is blogging a bad habit?
6. 5 Places I have Lived:
I have lived in the same place my whole life. All I've done is move from one area of the county to another.
7. Jobs I Have Had:
Bank teller, elementary school teacher, high school teacher, indexer, college teacher.
You might want to know what an indexer is. As an indexer I worked freelance for book publishers who needed indexes to include in the back of the books they had slated for publication. I also worked for companies or organizations, the United Nations, for example, indexing and abstracting journal articles, reports etc. for inclusion in a database.
8. 5 People I Want To Know More About:I Am Tagging:
Ivana of Communique by Ivanhoe
Sandee of Comedy Plus
Sandy Carlson of Writing in Faith
Raven of Views from Raven’s Nest
Jim of Jim’s Little Blog
Rebecca of Ramblings by Reba
Your course sounds interesting. I love those little cheese filled pretzles too. I just got something from Schwann's to try: cream cheese filled pretzles....
You did good Teach! Thank you, I will get even, I promise! But I will do it, reluctantly (really because I like it in spite of the reluctance).
The last times I have been tagged I wasn't (very) nice, starting and ending:
http://jimmiehov.blogspot.com/2006/08/ive-been-tagged_14.html;
http://jimmiehov.blogspot.com/2006/11/my-political-call-last-night-eight.html; and
http://jimmiehov.blogspot.com/2006/11/more-work-on-my-tag-fifth-item.html.
That last one was the last time, I never did completely finish any of them. :-)
..
Perhaps I should pick back up where I left off back then?
OK, Mary, I've made it easy for you to change your mind about me.
Check these, there are a lot so just spot check like correcting a long essay.
You can see I did have fun. I think I wasn't so busy back in
those days.
I read Raven's tag, she did good with it.
I'm convinced that blogging is NOT a bad habit. I think in the not to distant future it will decrease the possibilities of Alzheimer's!
I really do!
Keep that mind active!!
