Weekend Snapshot

These blossoms are from a small tree that was planted last year on my property. I'm afraid I don't know what tree it is.

Maybe you can help identify it for me? You can put your answer in the comments. Thank you very much.

Mary, could it be a cherry tree? It looks like one. Beautiful photo. Looks like it's being well cared for!

I think it may be a baby dogwood tree. It has the same type of blossoms. Not quite sure though. I will try to do some research for you.
Have a lovely day Mary!

Kimmie

Hi Mary, That's lovely. I thought it was a crabapple. If you go to this link for the siberian crabapple Siberian Crabapple it has a closeup of a branch in flower that looks a lot like yours. Then this link has a variety of cherry tree blossoms here - cherry blossoms But, I'm thinking crabapple.

I looked at the links from Kimmie and Carver, and Carver, I think you may be right! But my photos do also look like a 5 petal cherry blossom... hmmm. I didn't look up apple blossom yet.

Mary ~ I believe it is a bradford pear tree, lots and lots of small snowy white flowers. They are abundant in NY and NJ. They are really beautiful at this time of the year. We have several in our yard.

Mo would be the guy to ask this question to, most definitely. I would guess cherry blossom. But, I'm a dummy on things like this.

Hi,

Want to thank you for visiting my blog and for inviting me to yours!

You have some pretty pictures posted.
I'm not sure about the tree...maybe an apple or crabapple...?

I want to come back when I have more time and spend some time browsing here-

We went to see the tulips this weekend. I've got a bunch of pictures to go through. I hope they turned out so I can post some.

The fields were so colorful - I never realized there were so many different colors for tulips.

Cheers!

I'm pretty sure it's not a pear.
I'd have to see the leaves better, but most cherries have narrower leaves, so I'm going for crabapple based on the blossoms.

Thanks Mo, that clears everything up! LOL!
