Skywatch Friday

I caught this sky one afternoon before it rained. If I had the time I would have gotten rid of the electric lines (using a photoshop software) but then the posts and the street lights would still be there. So ignore them and just marvel at the sky over Queens, NYC.

Cool picture Teach!

My mom had an aerial photo of her farm and my daughter took out the wires as well as the road. It looks quite pristine.

I like the way it looks Mary just like that! And your explanation of it makes seem that much more real. Have a great weekend!!

Rather ominous looking.

So where did you take your banner photo this time?

The sky is so blue! Beautiful almost rainy day. And the wires and poles are reality. A great composition to let us see that it's possible to enjoy the beauty of life without being too annoyed by the petty intrusions of our day (easy to say, not easy to do).

I love when the sky is both so dark in one spot and yet so light in another. Very nice!

I like the cables because it proves that beautiful skies are universal...they can be seen in the big city too.

The contrast between the two skies is amazing.

This is wonderful, Mary. Isn't it interesting the way we blot out the distractions when we're seeing these things in person? That is a marvelous view.
