Wordless Wednesday

Michelito (aged 9) waved a cloak at his first calf of the night. Under Mexican rules, mini-matadors like Michelito face one-year-olds.

I hate that ! Are they killing these poor animals too, like in Spain ??

I have mixed feelings about bullfighting. I love the pageantry and tradition of the whole thing but at the same time feel bad for the animals. Great picture though.

According to Boston Legal, the incidence of kids being injured is not that high. Much higher riding a bike without a helmet. Yes, the show is a work of fiction, but they do a lot of fact checking on those things. Writers are always doing a lot of research on legal shows. I suspect the figures were accurate. Which is not saying I support it, but it's cultural and I am not going to knock someone else's culture. :)

Happy WW & Thanksgiving! Great WW photo! I never imagined that bullfighters started so young...

My WW post featured actor killed off this week on The Unit television show. Don't tell anyone, but, I cried at the end (sigh).

peace, Villager

Nancy, Boston Legal covered young mini-matadors as a subject for their show?? Wow! I'm surprised!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

That's very cool! I remember watching videos of matadors in Spanish class...way back in the day! LOL! None of them were that young though, I never knew they started so young.
