Falwell was an "honorable" man

Today I want to talk about Jerry Falwell. When I heard he had died I hesitated to blog about him because my mother always told me not to speak ill of the dead.

So Fallwell was an "honorable" man. He honored his own convictions in many ways.

He believed gays, lesbians and abortionists were responsible for the growing secularism in the U.S., indeed the world.

He believed
the anti-Christ was a Jewish male who is alive in the world today.

He believed If you're not a born-again Christian, you're a failure as a human being.

He believed that he wanted to live to see the day when, as in the early days of our country, we won't have any public schools. The churches will have taken them over again and Christians will be running them. What a happy day that will be!

He believed Blacks, Hispanics, women, etc., are God-ordained minorities who do indeed deserve minority status.

The evil that men do lives after them.

Does belief equate with honor? Did Hitler believe what he was doing? Do the suicide bombers believe?

When I see the accolades streaming over Falwell, I do sincerely want to cry NO!!!!!!

m s, I hope you read the post to the end...I am being IRONIC when I talk about Fallwell as an "honorable' man. I put quotes around honorable. The sentence is a take off on Shakespear's play Julius Caesar/"Caesar was an honorable man." and Marc Antony didn't MEAN IT. as I don't. Read the last line of the post. That's what I mean.
But I guess if I have to explain it, my sarcasm didn't get across. Oh well...

Your posting was perfect and self-explanatory. By the way, he also thought the teletubbies were gay. What is amazing is the power he acquired and the amount of exposure the media afforded him.

Yeah I won't say I'm glad he's dead (because that'd make me a horrible person and all) but I'm not sad either. People like him only exploid people's ignorance and need for meaning in their lives to further their own agenda.
Your sarcasm got across just fine :)
