I was going to take today off just as I took yesterday off because after all it's Thanksgiving weekend and nobody's reading blogs, right?

I read an article in the FDL Reporter (Fond du Lac Reporter Wisconsin) where parents want Maya Angelou's autobiographical work which describes her rape and subsequent unwanted pregnancy removed from the high school curriculum.
There are some things that just force you to take keyboard in hand and write in your blog.
Stupid, stupid, stupid. The book, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings has been in the high school curriculum for a decade. The book is a classic of African-American literature.
As of this writing no decision has been made.
