Ruby Tuesday

Photobucket

Our Ruby Tuesday photos this week are from City Island in the Bronx, NY

Photobucket

A RED clapboard house that sells hot dogs, pretzels and ices.

Photobucket

A RED door on the back of a rectory (priests' house attached to a parish). I don't kow what "ELENA" means.

Join us in posting for Ruby Tuesday. It's fun going around and visiting other players. Please only sign Mr. Linky if you have a post up.

Miss going to City Island...mom and dad spent so much time there as teens and then took us there as kids and I brought Matt there when he was young.

What a pretty little place! Reminds me of the barn red, old fashioned Dairy Queen on Sanibel Island. They sell hot dogs, too :)

I love the red door. I once knew an Italian lady whose name was Elena. It's a lovely name. Wasn't there a song called 'Marie Elena' once?

Two very different reds but both shots are wonderful! :)

Lots of interesting character in the building and door! Also like the sculpted area above the door! It looks as if it may have represented something!

zzzRed doors seem to be becoming very popular lately...or am I noticing them because of Ruby Tuesday?

Red is a great colour for a place of business. It's hard to pass by and not see it. LOL

The hot dog place is just so country America to me, it also reminds me of Sweden. That red and style of building is very Swedish. The red door is delightful...I have no idea what Elena means either. Have a wonderful Ruby Tuesday, Mary! :))

It is a bit strange to see hot dogs and pretzels being sold out of a house. Stranger still to see the name of a women above the door of a rectory. Perhaps she is the cleaning lady...either way it's a beautiful doorway.
