Those turtles are called red-eared sliders because of the red stripe down the sides of their heads and their ability to slide quickly into the water when they sense danger. I've had one for the last 22 years. He was the size of a quarter when I got him out of a little pond we were fishing in and now he's as big as a dinner plate :) Great shadow shot Mary!♥ Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14591559212770014981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30988056.post-31353391006430775482010-10-09T21:57:14.769-04:002010-10-09T21:57:14.769-04:00Thanks Ralph, I didn't know what it was...Thanks Ralph, I didn't know what it was...maryt/theteachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17516961981692076719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30988056.post-77792202908872347892010-10-09T21:50:24.560-04:002010-10-09T21:50:24.560-04:00The turtles leave shadows as rotund as their shell...The turtles leave shadows as rotund as their shells.
