Ruby Tuesday

Vinny brought home some apples, the first of Autumn.  I rolled them around the table a little and took a couple of photos. This macro was the best shot for Ruby Tuesday!

This shot of red currants (?) was taken over the weekend at the Walt Witman Birthplace on Long Island.

Don't forget to sign Mr. Linky and leave a comment. Thanks very much. And you know how much everybody loves a visit!

Take This Tune

Jamie mentioned Donald O'Connor in her post for Take This Tune. I remember I always loved him and thought he was undervalued as a dancer. Here he is doing an incredible routine called "Make 'Em Laugh."

And Donald O'Connor dancing reminds me of Gene Kelly whom O'Connor used to dance with all the time. Take a look at the two of them doing a dance medley back in the 60s on the Gene Kelly TV show.

What is amazing is that the audience recognizes the dance steps when one or the other of them begins to dance and they applaud!

Mellow Yellow Monday

I found some beautiful flowers this weekend. They are Fall flowers and will soon be gone so I photoed them and decided to post them here for Mellow Yellow Monday.

Ruby Tuesday

Hi Everybody! Today is Ruby Tuesday and I have a new badge for you! Feel free to take it and use it for your posts. Of course you can use any of the other badges we have...

It was created by Burton Morris and the details are below*

And now for my post today. Did you ever notice that the RED dishes of Cheerios and milk on the Cheerios' boxes form RED heart dishes when lined up next to one another?!

Isn't that the greatest?  I noticed at Costco's this past weekend.

Good for you General Mills! A very clever advertising gimmick!

I've put up Mr. Linky below for you to sign and then comment.

Please visit your fellow bloggers, okay?

Take This Tune - More September

Join me in posting for Jamie's Take This Tune for Monday.

Jamie, I found this song written by Carole King. It's called "It Might As Well Rain Until September."

It's an upbeat tune with a lyric that usually makes me cry. Which it did. But it's a great song that I could play over and over again.

It Might As Well Rain Until September Lyrics
Artist(Band):Carole King

Written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King.
- This 1962 hit was actually the demo recording by Carole King,
intended as a song for Bobby Vee.
- The recording was so casual that to this day the master of
it does not exist, and any CD versions of it have poor quality.
- Carole King then went close to 9 years before her next hit,
although all those residuals from all those great early
60s songs she wrote kept her out of the poor house.

What shall I write?
What can I say?
How can I tell you how much I miss you?

The weather here has been as nice as it can be
Although it doesn't really matter much to me
For all the fun I'll have while you're so far away
It might as well rain until September

I don't need sunny skies for thing I have to do
'Cause I stay home the whole day long and think of you
As far as I'm concerned each day's a rainy day
So It might as well rain until September

My friends look forward to their picnics on the beach
Yes everybody loves the summertime
But you know darling while your arms are out of reach
The summer isn't any friend of mine

It doesn't matter whether skies are grey or blue
It's raining in my heart 'cause I can't be with you
I'm only living for the day you're home to stay
So It might as well rain until September
September, September, oh
It might as well rain until September

The armrest question...

Okay everyone, here's the answer:

There are usually two armrests. But that doesn't mean there are two armrests for every seat. If there are 10 seats in a row that means there are eleven armrests, most usually, but in some theaters there are only 9 cupholders. So if you are sitting between 2 armrests that means of course if no one is sitting next to you, that you can use any armrest you d____ well please, or both if you like! :)
6:31 PM

Serious Question?

At a movie theater how do you tell which arm rest is yours?

Put your answers in a comment for me, okay?
